LocateParcel field guide

The parcel journey, in plain language.

A tracking history is a sequence of supplied events—not a live map. This guide explains the common stages without guessing where a parcel is or when it will arrive.

Follow the information flow.

LocateParcel presents the shipment updates shared by your retailer as one ordered status history.

Four common stages

Carrier wording varies. These descriptions explain the shape of the journey rather than defining every provider's terminology.

  1. 01

    Shipment created

A tracking code can exist before the first movement is recorded. The latest event may simply confirm that shipment information has been prepared.

  2. 02

    In transit

The parcel is moving through the delivery network. Updates usually appear when a new event is supplied, so the history may pause between scans.

  3. 03

    Delivery stage

The latest event may show that delivery is being prepared or attempted. The exact wording and available detail depend on the update LocateParcel receives.

  4. 04

    Delivered

The status history records a delivered event when one is supplied. Questions about the order itself still belong with the retailer.

What the history can tell you

It can show the latest supplied status, when each listed event was recorded, and the order in which those events appear.

What it cannot promise

It cannot confirm an unreported movement, guarantee a delivery time, or replace the retailer when you need help with the order itself.
